How to Dye Hair Yourself at Home Without Damage

Eg, a darker ash dye causes the hair to turn grey; and the darker it is, the more chance it will even end up blue or green. Any darker dye you use on your lighter hair is going to end up more intense so you get around this either by using a natural tone , or filling it first.
Extreme blonde shades or highlights require multiple bleachings, and most of the time, multiple visits to the salon. The gold is probably a level 8-9, albeit artificial. Now I added igora 9-1 with only a 10v to try to get rid of the super brassy roots. Wish i could just send you a picture of what i am after for the brassy midlengths but don't know how to refresh the midlengths when it fades so brassy!! I wanted to quit doing it just because of that....I LOVE hightlights, don't want 100% blond all over, but a lot of highlights that I do partial foils on myself are fun.
